Robert is the co-founder and co-owner of ProSport Performance. He joined ProSport Physical Therapy in May 2002 after graduating from the Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. A native of Sweden, Robert came to the United States to pursue an undergraduate education and play collegiate soccer at California Lutheran University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in 1998. Robert is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Certified Sports Performance Coach (USAW) by USA Weightlifting. He has been the ProSport PT clinic director since 2003 and is involved in clinical research and education through the University of Southern California, as well as serving as the Center Coordinator for Clinical Education. Robert’s primary interest is rehabilitation and prevention of injuries in athletes, as well as optimizing sports performance through proper movement patterns. Robert resides in Rancho Santa Margarita with his wife and children and enjoys coaching and playing soccer, surfing, skiing and yoga.

Todd Riech, 2 x U.S. Olympian, USAW

Todd is the co-founder and co-owner of ProSport Performance. He is a certified personal trainer and coach, who has been training clients and athletes of all ages since 1996. A Montana native, Todd turned down numerous basketball and football scholarships, and accepted a track and field scholarship to Fresno State University in order to pursue his Olympic dream. While at Fresno State in 1994, he won the NCAA Championship with a national collegiate record in the Javelin Throw. Later, Todd reached the pinnacle of his athletic career and became a two-time U.S. Olympian. After retiring as a world-class athlete, he accepted a job at CSU Long Beach where he coached the Men’s and Women’s Javelin teams as well as developed all Throws teams’ strength and conditioning programs. Since 2006, Todd has focused his coaching on elite athletes at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, coaching the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trial Gold medalist and 2009 World Champion finalist.

Todd also coaches youth and Masters level athletes. Before opening ProSport Performance with Robert, he owned a successful personal training and coaching business, but establishing a sports performance training facility has been his ultimate career goal. He is a Certified Sports Performance Coach (USAW) by USA Weightlifting. Todd’s training philosophy is based on long term periodization using training protocols that he has developed with the goal of progressing athletes according to their ages and ability. Todd has a son, Nathan and daughter, Carly. His favorite pastime is fishing.

John Poblete, BS, CSCS, USAW, NASM-PES

Head Sports Performance Coach

John has been with ProSport for 10 years working to help clients achieve their optimal performance on and off the field of play. An Orange County native and resident of Rancho Santa Margarita, John attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School before heading to the University of San Francisco to pursue a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences. Upon returning to Orange County, John continued to further his education to become the best performance coach and is a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

As Head Sports Performance Coach at ProSport Performance, John brings a wealth of knowledge as an experienced professional in sports rehabilitation, injury prevention and sports performance training. He will oversee the daily operation and formulation of performance programs for small group and team training. He will work closely with Robert Spang, Director of Operation and Todd Riech, Director of Sports Performance to establish innovative training programs to further enhance the performance of ProSport’s athletes.

John has worked with a range of athletes from youth, high school, weekend warriors and collegiate to professionals to ensure that they are at the peak of their performance. He focuses on both the physical and mental aspects of sport/life to capitalize on performance. John believes that building a good foundation for every athlete is the key to achieving your full potential in life and this is achieved through testing and evaluating body mechanics. Once functional movement is evaluated, it allows our team to better construct a proper strength and conditioning program that will maximize each athletes abilities in their respective sport.

John has an innate understanding of the different training cycles of an athlete and blends his science based strategies with practical real world applications allowing him to get the most out of any athlete from the junior level to professional ranks. His relationship building programs within his training build trust and confidence with his athletes. John’s drive and determination in making his athletes the best they can be is second to none. He is a true motivator and ensures that each athlete leaves each session feeling great and knowing that their hard work will benefit them in every aspect of their sport.

Ryan Bozzo, CSCS, USAW

Ryan is a Sports Performance Coach that has been with ProSport since graduating from Cal State University, Fullerton with a degree in Pre-Allied Health.

He attended Tesoro High School, where he was a football, baseball and track & field athlete, competing in High Jump.  He also has a background in mixed martial arts with the Lotus Club.  Ryan was plagued by injuries early in his athletic career and found a passion for health, wellness and sports performance training.  He believes a solid athletic foundation is the key to achieving any and all goals.

He utilizes traditional multi-joint movements to help clients achieve all their aspirations from sport specific enhancements to everyday life function and challenges.

Ryan is constantly working to learn and develop new skills and push himself further as a professional coach.  Ryan currently holds a Sports Performances Coaching Certification from USA Weightlifting (USAW) and is preparing to take the CSCS by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Greg Moses

Sports Performance Coach
Class Instructor

Greg Moses was born and raised in the City of Orange in Orange County California. Growing up he excelled in all sports and when it came time for High School he decided to focus his talents on football. He attended Mater Dei High School and played middle linebacker for the Monarchs during the 2003 and 2004 football seasons. Greg was elected captain by his teammates due to his work ethic and leadership skills.

After High School Greg chose to join the U.S. Coast Guard to serve his country and fulfill a family tradition of seagoing service men like his Grandfathers. Greg earned the title of 3rd Class Boatswain’s Mate and conducted many different search and rescue and law enforcement missions off the coast of California, Central America, and the Arabian Gulf.

Greg received an honorable discharge from the Coast Guard in 2011 and chose to pursue a degree in Athletic Training. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree at Chapman College in Orange, CA. He is Sports Performance Certified with the USA Weight lifting and works at ProSport as a Sports Performance Coach, Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist Aide.

Kevin O’Connor, PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW

KevinKevin is a graduate from the Physical Therapy Doctorate program at Nova Southeastern University, Florida as well as University of California, Irvine, where he was a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s soccer team. He joined the ProSport team in 2008 and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by National Strength and Conditioning Association and Certified Sports Performance Coach (USAW) by USA Weightlifting. He played both baseball and soccer throughout his high school career at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and enjoys watching and keeping up with other sports. Kevin resides in Newport Beach, CA.

Joanne Quevedo

Sports Performance Coach
Class Instructor

Joanne is a graduate from California State University, Long Beach, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She became a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) in 2007. Joanne joined the ProSport team in 2008 and is currently certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer, working with clients with various fitness goals ranging from weight loss to fitness maintenance.

She has been an athlete since a young age, playing basketball during her high school career at Trabuco Hills High School. As an adult, she has competed, placed, and won in regional and national fitness competitions hosted by the National Physique Committee (NPC). Joanne now enjoys watching and playing sports, including golf, football, and basketball. She is also currently attending California State University, Fullerton, in pursuit of her Master’s degree in Kinesiology with a dual emphasis in Clinical Exercise Science and Corporate Wellness/Health Promotion.

Lisa Reich, CPT

Certified Personal / Group Trainer

Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UCLA, where she earned a Track and Field athletic scholarship as a High Jumper. She continued
high jumping post collegiately until the age of 34 and competed in 3 U.S. Olympic Trials, the Goodwill Games, and the U.S. vs. Great Britain. Concurrently, she studied at Cerritos College to become a State Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She has worked at ProSport Physical Therapy since April of 2002.

Lisa was an assistant track coach of the high jump for 4 years at Marina H.S. and for 4 years at Santa Margarita Catholic H.S. She has been instructing group fitness classes for the past 5 years. She is a Certified Sports Performance Coach (USAW) by USA Weightlifting. Lisa’s approach to training and coaching is greatly influenced by her physical therapy background with an emphasis on injury prevention through development of core stability and functional mobility. Lisa resides in Rancho Santa Margarita with her family.
